China Life Insurance Singapore makes a splash as new title sponsor of the 48th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships
China Life Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“China Life Insurance Singapore”) assumed its first title sponsorship - China Life Insurance Singapore National Age Group (Snag) Swimming Championships, which ended its successful run from 10 to 19 March 2017 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre. This prolific sporting event is also the final local qualifying meet for the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur in August this year.
To drum up the event anticipation and publicity, 300 title sponsorship street banners were displayed on prominent roads in Singapore. Social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram were also used to engage the millennials and the swimming fraternity, including creating contests to raise engagement level with the general public.
China Life Insurance Singapore also presented a workshop with Ms May Yim Schooling, mother of Singapore’s Olympian Joseph Schooling as guest speaker, to share her experiences about raising a world beating swimmer.
This sponsorship also gave the opportunity for China Life Insurance Singapore to promote swimming as an accessible and inclusive sport for special needs students from Pathlight School as part of our giving back to society. A "learn to swim” programme was launched which gave these students the once in a lifetime chance to compete in a “grand final” swim relay during the Junior Finals Snag.
The event saw a total of 39 new swim records and 12 swimmers who qualified for the SEA Games. This title sponsorship also garnered visible publicity from high traffic print, digital and broadcast channels.
