China Life (Overseas) continues to fully support the world-class sports event – 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships
China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited (“China Life (Overseas)”) is committed to the promotion of healthy lifestyles and supports the development of sports and local athletes. Hence, China Life has been actively sponsoring the world-class Track Cycling events in Hong Kong since last year. China Life (Overseas), acting as the “Official Sponsor”, will sponsor the 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships (hereinafter referred to as “World Championships”) to be held at Hong Kong Velodrome from 12 to 16 April 2017.
The World Championships has been regarded as the world's highest ranking track cycling event, and the winners of this World Championships will be awarded rainbow jerseys. All cyclists look upon the World Championships as the highest honour in pursuit of their dreams.
Since 1961, the World Championships has been hosted by different cities in Europe and the United States; whereas only two Asian cities have ever won the bid to host this world-class event – Japan (1990) and Hong Kong (2017). Thus, Hong Kong will become the second Asian city that has successfully won the bid for hosting the World Championships.
