China Life Trustees and Haitong International Asset Management establish a strategic cooperation to support retirement protection services in Hong Kong
China Life Trustees Limited (“China Life Trustees”) and Haitong International Investment Managers Limited (“Haitong International Asset Management”) have recently announced their intention to establish a strategic cooperation in Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) sector. Concrete cooperation plans remain subject to further development and relevant regulatory approvals.
China Life Trustees, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited, has served Hong Kong's pension market for over three decades. It is one of Hong Kong’s first batch of approved MPF trustees.
Haitong International Asset Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of Haitong International Securities Group Limited (“Haitong International”). As a wholly owned subsidiary of Guotai Haitong Securities Co., Ltd., Haitong International provides a full spectrum of financial offerings including private wealth management, corporate finance, asset management, global markets and investment businesses.
The strategic cooperation will explore an integrated model, combining China Life Trustees’ MPF trustee expertise with Haitong International Asset Management’s global investment capabilities, with the aim to providing broader retirement protection services for the people in Hong Kong.
Further updates will be announced in due course.
